I recently purchased a Sanus VMAA26B for my Samsung 40" LCD TV. I needed a mount that would turn a complete 90 degrees to face the other wall. I called Sanus tech support and asked which mount they recommended. The 18" would have normally worked but since I needed the large range of motion, they suggested the 26", which I purchased. It is a very heavy duty mount and since I was hanging my expensive TV on it, it gave me some peace of mind that the mount would hold it securely, without sagging. The installation was straight forward and every thing went together well. Problems: None to speak of except the mount was put up level and once the TV was installed it sat at an angle from level. I called their tech support and was shown an adjustment of 3-6 degrees that fixed it perfectly. The only other thing I encountered was that the bottom bar was too long to use the component video hook up. It blocked the panel. Normally, I could have slid it to the right and out of the way, but since my TV had to turn, the bar would have stuck out and been in the way. So, I removed the bar and cut a few inches out of it and re-installed the end plug and put back on the assy. and all was fixed.
I actually called the company and complimented them on the strength and ease of installation of this mount. Also, you should appreciate the great tech support that goes with this product. If I had been missing any part they would have shipped it to me, no charge. Any problem that I could have run into would have been given a fix on the phone with a real live person. They really want your experience to be a positive one. Would I purchase another mount from Sanus? Absolutely!

Well built unit
I bought this unit from Amazon.com at a good price with no tax and free shipping. The instructions were very easy to understand and the unit is very strong. I only needed help on hanging the TV on the wallplate because it is heavy with the arm installed. The only issue was the screws provided to attach to the TV were not the right length...got others from HD and some flat washers and it worked great. Am extremely satisfied with this unit.

Expensive, but worth it,
Installed this bracket while recovering from Knee Replacement - pretty easy install. This is one quality bracket - overbuilt to say the least, nice finish too. A little pricey especially if bought from Best Buy - Amazon was 0.00 cheaper!! I cant see where someone would need this much bracket for a smaller tv. (I have a 46") One gripe - the plastic clips included to keep cords in place were pittiful - all broke during installation - yes I did read the instructions, and no I wasnt using a big hammer.

solid mount, bad part, good customer service
I bought this mount to hold a Samsung 52" LCD TV, which weighs around 70 pounds. The mount is very solid, and easy to install. It has no problem supporting the television even with the arms fully extended.

The kit arrived with one of the TV attachment brackets manufactured out of true, so that the cross beams would not fit. I called Sanus customer service and they promptly shipped me a replacement part at no cost. The part arrived within five business days. The bad part downgraded my rating from a 5 to a 3, but then the excellent customer service upgraded it to a 4.

Amazing!!!
I began completely skeptical of this and all wall mounts, especially articulating ones. I mean... dangle that precious LCD out 5 feet over my family room floor?!? Are you crazy?!?

But this product eliminated that skepticism in a big way. It is well-engineered and inspires confidence from the moment you begin assembly. Also easier than expected to install. But I would definitely recommend investing in a decent stud-finder to be sure you're getting the anchoring you need from the lag bolts.

All told, I'm extremely happy with the purchase. We swing the mount out all the time, and are easily able to rotate it 90 degrees to face into our kitchen/dining area. Top notch product!

Sturdy, flexible, neat outlet cut-outs

+ Comforting double arm support for nice pivot motion. Handy tilt function for up and down viewing angles (especially good for LCD with viewing not as great as plasma).
+ Clever +/- bolt spacing for slight stud spacing +/-.

CONs:
- Plastic caps for metal rails are cheap and don't even fit/attach.
- Too much misc hardware left over.
- No caps to conceal wall bolts. Use same color bolts?

Perfect for my needs
I was looking for a mount that would be robust enough to handle my 52" panasonic but still be able to tilt, rotate and retract. This mount fits the bill. Solid, sturdy mount gives you confidence that this can hold up your tv safely.

The mounting template was helpful, hardest part of the install was finding the studs. All the hardware plus plenty of optional pieces make the X series usable on virtually any TV.

Looks great up, cable management in arms allows cables to be out of site. Look no further, but go for the lowest price you can find.

Overbuilt--but do you really want to save on the mount for a 00 flat panel?
OK, this thing is big, it's heavy, and from the side without the TV mounted looks like the creature from Alien. But it is overbuild in all the best possible ways. I looked at it this way: I was mounting a ,000 plasma. I didn't want to save on cheaper mount.

I used it to mount a 50inch plasma that weighs about 90 pounds. The mount is rated up to 63 inches and 200 pounds, so it is comfortably oversized. Because I was mounting in an opening over a gas fireplace, I didn't have struggles with finding studs or figuring out the template. I put in my own studs screwed in place with metal L-brackets, and mounted the bracket directly to the exposed studs with the six immense lag bolts provided.

The installation was pretty straightforward. Two cautions:

--Measure your desired flat-panel height carefully before drilling. The bracket allows adjustments east and west to center in the desired position, but not north and south.

--So 90 points seemed light after heisting down the 180-lb 32-inch tuber I took out of the opening before installing this bracket. But plan on at least two strong men to help lift and mount the panel on the wall bracket, because the weight is very awkwardly distributed and hard to maneuver in the air--and you don't want to drop and splatter that 00 flat panel before you even turn it on!

With those precautions, this bracket is a beauty. It feels rock solid, moves in and out and tilts, pans, and swivels with ease without ever feeling wobbly. Its hard to imagine how it could be any better--and I priced extensively before buying, and Amazon's price was easily the best at the time I bought.

Strong mount, confident in mounting hardware.
This mount is heavy and has a lot of strength to support heavy panels. The cable management is much better than competing products that don't even attempt to hide cables. Be careful and take your time - the covers are made of plastic and make break if you try to force them. I would have liked to see metal covers, but with appropriate installation, they work fine and Omnimount may have been trying to keep the weight of the mount down. The cantilever arms are attractive and don't look as utilitarian as a Sanus or Peerless mount. They have a distinct strong and techy look.

Installation took me an hour, but there's no reason to rush the install. A mistake in preparation just makes it take many times longer. I recommend that you make sure you have a good stud finder and then use a finish nail to test the edges of your stud location. You really want to have the lag bolts hit the center of each stud. I used a decent box level and the provided template. The mount base, once lagged onto the wall, is fairly easy. The adapter plate for the plasma attaches easily.

I'd have to say that the hardest part is to have another person able to lift half of 150lbs of plasma tv up to the mount. Thankfully Omnimount has provided a method to rest the adapter on the mount until it can be fastened tightly. I placed a level on top of the plasma after it was mounted and made a tiny adjustment using the adjustment screws to ensure the TV wasn't canted.

So order a pizza, chill the beer, and invite a buddy and make sure you start early enough to watch a game afterward.

Note: many mount instructions show diagrams with the tv screen flat against the floor when installing an adapter on the back... That's not a good idea for a TV that has "this side up" in 17 languages on the box when shipped. Put a blanket on the top edge and lean it against a wall when installing the adapter to the rear of the TV and make sure that you check for depth on your screw holes before chosing the adapter screw.

This Mount Rocks!
This mount is exactly what i would expect from Omnimount. Great Quality, Solid. No worries hanging my new 52" Sony from it. Safe , stable, worth the money.

Super mount
This mount was easy to install and it works great. Simple to setup and use.

Function is good, price is great.
The Sanus MF215-B1 is an excellent mount for my 22" Samsung LCD TV. Installation was easy and the method of aligning the mounted TV makes it forgiving if you slightly miss vertical installation. I very much like the three degrees of movement permitted, allowing the TV to be pointed exactly where it is needed. I have it in our exercise area, so slight adjustments are often needed. I do think that use on a large TV, up to 37" might be too heavy, but for my 22", it is perfect. The price at Best Buy was more, so Amazon shopping is the way to go.

Great Product and Easy to Install
I don't normally have the time to write reviews, but this product deserves the time. This was easy to install and had all the parts, other than a screw driver, that I needed.
My unit moves my TV out the way so when I am not watching, it is unobtrusive and neatly tucked out of the way. This a wonderful apparatus that has made my life more enjoyable.

The right mount.
This wall mount was packaged very nice with all items sorted and labeled very nicely and with common sense in mind. The mount itself is very well built for the size it will handle and it is adjustable in all positions. The only adjustment that I found to be a little hard to anchor was the pivoting head on the end of the extension arm. The mount installed very easy and the instructions were written very well and are easy for most to follow plus it looks very elegant for all décor. This mount will accept most after market adapters if you have items that are not standardized such as items that I have.I am very pleased with this mount and will purchase another one as needed.

Best Price for a Great TV Mount!
I first saw this mount at Best Buy and almost bought it because it was on sale if you bought a TV (BB retail: 0). I ended buying a SONY Bravia 26" LCD at K-Mart of all places (best price/great TV, BTW) and needed a mount. I checked Sanus website to find that a direct price was 0, so I checked Amazon and the price was with FREE shipping. So I ordered it.

Carefully following all the directions (you don't want to mess this up or your TV will be lying on the floor!) I had it up in less than an hour, although if I was not doing this on a ladder it would have been shorter.

This mount has all the flexibility and adjustment that you will ever need in a mount this size. Why purchase one with only minimum adjustments when this on can be had a great price? My 26" is mounted literally in the corner a few inches from the ceiling in a bedroom and provides the perfect angles for viewing from bed.

Buy this mount - you won't be sorry!

Very satisfied with this product
First off, for those of you that are still wary of making purchases online like I am, I found this to be a very easy and confidence building experience for purchasing online. No problems.

I received the product and unpacked it and my first reaction was WOW, this thing is huge, but then again, I am using it to mount a Philips 52" LCD. I installed the mount myself. My biggest concern was not hitting the studs. I used a stud finder going over the same area's multiple times, just to be sure. I then used a drill with a small bit to drill through where the studs were and drilled where I thought would be the outside parts of the stud (so I could hit the studs in the middle). The tools I used were a laser leveler, some painters masking tape, ratchet and socket, phillips screw driver, stud finder, drill.

The mount comes with a template that you set up prior to actually installing the mount, which helped out great and I was confident after using the template that the mounting would be square. The mount itself is fairly heavy and my son had to help me hold it up. The lag bolts are significant and I pre-drilled the holes to ease the pressure when installing the bolts to keep the studs from splitting. All in all, it was an easy install and supports my television just fine. I like all of the adjustments that can be made with the articulating arm. I did confirm that this very same mount is sold at Circuit City for ~ 0 which I thought was a crazy mark-up, so for the price you pay for this product here on Amazon, it's a steal! Good Enough to Please the Mrs.
Well - like the title says - My wife was a little upset I made this purchase, however once I installed it and she was able to finally move the furniture the way she wanted and still see our 52 inch TV versus just having it sit in our built in against the wall she was very pleased. It was easy enough to install but wasn't incredibly clear on the directions. I had to figure out how to mount my TV off center to adjust for where my studs were in the wall. I've seen this same mount for over 0 and to get it here for 0 was an excellent buy.

The directions were a little difficult....but
It is definitely a mount worth buying. The directions were too simple. I had to download information directly from Omnimount which provided better visuals and instructions. The best way to mount is to remove the arms first and attach the wall plate. Make sure you have studs 16" apart or this mount is not for you. Once attached to the wall, the rest is a breeze. The T.V. looks wonderful and can be adjusted to any position. I live in California and have no worries about it falling off the wall during an earthquake.

It's a one Heavy Duty Wall Hanger
This is one nice and heavy hanger. Our TV is 147#'s and I wondered about a bracket that would swivel and still hold the weight. It does. The instructions are a little vague, but then it's just a bracket. I thought it would be user friendly for one person, but it takes two people to move it successfully without banging into the walls.

The Best Flat Panel Wall Mount!
After carefully reading reviews on all types of flat panel mounts I decided to go with this one after the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Amazon.

This is a heavy duty mount that will easily hold your large television. I purchased this for my Sharp Aquos 52" LCD and am very pleased. The mount comes with a template that makes installation a breeze. Hint: You will need to have 16" studs to correctly place this mount.

I have absolutely no carpentry skills and I installed this in a little over two hours thanks to the easy directions and the even easier template. The template also comes with a foldable bottom to catch the wall board debris that comes from drilling holes in the walls! In my opinion Omnimount makes the best wall mounts on the market and by far the easiest to install. This mount is a bit pricey but well worth it. The heftier price is made better by the fact that you really will not need to pay a carpenter to install this - its that easy!

Pretty but not functional
I was really hoping that I could work with the covers to hide the cables. I'd read the reviews that said the covers were a challenge, but I really thought I'd be able to work with them.

I was so wrong.

First, there truly is just not enough room behind the covers. Due to the design, I simply couldn't run the cables I need - and I only have a TiVo and a DVD/receiver! (I ended up putting my Wii on it, also, but at that point there were so many cables hanging out it really didn't make a difference.)

In addition to that, the plastic from which the covers were made was far too hard for this application. The covers can't be bent enough to allow you to easily push and pull cables as you need to. A softer plastic would have been more appropriate.

And, as others have mentioned, getting the covers on and keeping them on is a serious challenge. I literally had bruises on my hands and arms where I was pulling, shoving, and pounding. I ended up using a towel to insulate the covers from the impact of the hammer I had to use to get them in place.

Other than the cable covers, though, the unit is solid and well designed. The fact that you can place the shelves at any level you like is very shiny. It really is a pretty set of shelves.

Not so pretty with all the cables hanging out, though. Since that's the reason I bought them, I can't give it more than 2 stars.

I'm now looking for something large to set next to the shelves so no one can see all the cables hanging everywhere. :( More money spent - I should have just bought more expensive shelves.

*sigh* And the marketing pics made it look so nice...

Oh, and one suggestion: measure your components. These shelves are actually ~17" wide and you have about 13-14" of depth, at most. I made the mistake of trusting the dimensions listed on the description. (I think that's the packaging's size.) My DVD/receiver unit is constantly sliding off because the feet hang over the front. I'm going to have to find some rubber pads to put under it to hold it in place.

Very good with excellent price
Easy assembly works very well. I installed a home entertainment system on it with no problems and no worry about it falling off the shelf. Hard ware more then adequate to install.

Great Value, Clean Lines
This product ended a long search for a storage piece for my equipment. The straight lines and simple features proved to be the perfect companion for our finished home entertainment system.
Very easy to install, and a solid piece of furniture. The wire management features perfectly concealed the cables which my wife disliked so much. Comparable prices were 4x the price of this one, and I can not find a reason for this. I see no reduction in quality of materials and/or workmanship. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a similar item.

Almost "Very Good" - Cable Management Not So good
This product does 2 things - holds your equipment up and hides the cables. As shelving it is stable but the cable management system leaves little to be desired.
1. This is a wall unit and does attach firmly. Therefore it must be attached to a stud if it is to reliably hold the components. You could put it into drywall but I wouldn't recommend risking your components. So plan the lay out to make sure it will look good when installed on a stud with respect to the room and the location of the TV. If you are using it in conjunction with an articulating TV bracket, consider the length of the cables you will need.
2. The shelves are adequate size and the brackets that hold them up and attach to the wall bracket are good.
3. The plastic covers that go over the wall bracket stink. Since the shelves are adjustable for height, the plastic covers have a generic cross section and very small cable channels to run the cabling through. The cables enter the channels from the side but the channels run vertical so the cables look sloppy going in to the channels so that they can be hidden. It's not the worst thing in the world but it could be much better. Also, it is a 3 shelf unit and I only have 3 components plus the TV. The cables run to power and to the TV and to other components. There simply is not that much room in the channels to properly manage the cables.
4. I had to fight with the plastic covers and route the cables precisely to fit and it still looks mediocre.
5. All in all, its stable but still a little sloppy. All the pics of the unit on the internet from Omnimount, show no cables and no side views, there's a reason for that.

Sturdy, sleek equipment at a fair price
This is the best shelf for your buck. Looks good...easy installation (less than an hour, and I've never done anything like this before) and you don't have to install it exactly as it looks. You could just do two shelfs or just two brackets instead of three. However, mine did come in BLACK, not clear...just a warning.

Great Mount for my 40" Sony
Hesitated a bit since I read a review that this mount did not work well with the same SONY model I purchased; however, it was the best looking, well-made, low-profile mount I could find. It didn't hurt my feelings that it was also inexpensive.

I ordered it. Received very quickly. It is just a sturdy as it looks.

Installation was a breeze. Just the right amount of back clearance recommended by SONY. Highly recommend taking a look at this one if you want a low-profile mount and do not need tilt functions.

Fantastic wall mount
I agree that this is one fantastic wall mount. I think it would easily support weights far above the maximum amount they have listed. Listen to their recommendations though, just to be safe.

I was really impressed at the wide range of mounting bolts, washers, mollys, and nuts that were included with this mount. They really give you everything. I installed this mount with my Panasonic TH-50pz850u and it was very easy. My only hard part was the junky stud finder I have and trying to find some studs in the wall!! Use a good stud finder or a small nail to find the studs.

One recommendation, this mount is definitely a "low profile" like the title describes. There is just barely enough room between the back of the television and the wall for the cables to plug in straight. There are spacers included which I wish I had installed first. If your HDMI cables or component cables are going to need more than 2-3" before having to bend then go for the regular height Sanus mount rather than the low profile

Great Mount
I ordered this mount after quite a bit of time doing research online. The mount fit my TV perfectly and is exactly what we were seeking. When mounted, you can't see any of the cables from the back of the tv (wife's requirement) and the tv is flush with the wall. Mounting was easy, although a little time consuming. I highly recommend this mount.

Worked Perfectly - Increadable Price!
I used this to mount my new 52" Samsung LCD HDTV and it worked perfectly. Very sturdy construction and quality materials. Saved around 0 buying from Amazon too!

Not a Universal Mount
this mount does not fit the Samsung PN63A650, the 63" Plasma. The screws that come with it are too long. Also you have to use the extension for the wall as well as the mount, which needs 6 screws. I have been trying to find the Customer Service number so I can call Amazon, but have not been able to find it, they hide it well so you cannot call them.

Very sturdy wall mount
This wall mount is heavy, and it is very sturdy. After I got it on the wall, I had no doubt the TV would be there until I took it down. The tilt feature works like a charm. The instructions could have been a little more clear, and the main problem I encountered was incorrect hardware. I probably had at least 20 bolts left over for different TV installations, but the ones for my TV were not in there. I trip to Home Depot solved this, but you have to be careful you are getting the right size, length, and thread count.

Great mount, but needs modification to fit 65" Sharp LCD
Let me preface this review by saying that this is a great wall mounting bracket for your LCD TV. It is fairly easy to install with great directions. The bracket allows you to slide and tilt your tv, or lock it in.

Now for the bad news... this product is recommended for the Sharp Aquos LC65D64U 65" LCD. However, it does not come with the right bolts for that TV. This poses two minor problems: You have to buy the bolts and you have to enlarge the holes on the bracket. The bolt size is M10x1.5x35mm (size, thread, length). They can be picked up at home depot (and make sure to get some M10 flat washers too). You will also need a file to enlarge the holes on the bracket (took about 10 minutes for all 4 holes).

If you are planning on installing your own wall mount, the modifications should be easily within you abilities.

Overall great product.

flat panel wall mount system
This product was very easy to assemble and mount on the wall. Securely held the 65 inch tv that I mounted and the tilt works well to make viewing easier.

I purchased the mount for a 32" Samsung LCD on wood studs (16" on center). The item was well packed to prevent scratches and there was a slew of mounting screws for different makes and models (Peerless actually provides a link to a PDF file hosted on their site: http://www.peerlessmounts.com/1 which gives the screw size for several makes and models of TVs). The instructions say to use the smallest screw first and get at least three full turns - if you use a screw that is too long it can hit the screen....ACK! I just re-read the PDF and it does provide the width, length, and if you need to use a washer. I didn't catch that the first time so I ended up using my own washers on the M6 screws as the provided ones did not fit (I see now because they are not required).

The wall mount lag screws seemed of good quality and fine for my fairly light TV - had this been for a larger TV I may have wanted to get some beefier ones but my buddy mounted his 52" Samsung LCD with the same lag screws and it has not fallen yet ;).

The only ding I would give the product was I felt it was a little expensive for what it is (again, at the price I paid) and as others had mentioned the "security screws" to lock in the bottom of the TV were pretty difficult to get to. Not locking them in makes the TV feel not very secure in the mount. What I ended up doing was using a flexible extension on my drill along with a security Torx bit to tighten them up. I could have done it with the provided tool but you can only turn it 180 degrees before it hits the wall (i.e.: half a turn) and I would still be doing it :).

Pros:
- Holds TV very close to the wall.
- Mount is very sturdy metal.
- Open back provides access for recessed wiring box.
- You can slide the TV all the way to the edge of the mount left or right.
- TV is holding strong.

Cons:
- Directions could be a little clearer.
- Security screws on bottom are necessary for a solid fit, but very difficult to get to.

All in all I would highly recommend this mount, especially at the price it is now ($[...]). I would have given this a 4.5 but since I cannot I am listing it as a 4 (pssst...HEY AMAZON...how about a 1 - 10 star rating???)

Product title is suspect
The wall mount worked great and as expected for a Samsung 23" LCD TV but did not fit a Samsung 46" LCD TV. I suspect the product's title should be changed to "...23"-26"..." instead of ...23"-46" based on my engineering experience.

Don't trust that your TV will fit
I bought this mount thinking that it sounded like a great deal for my 42" LCD TV, and while the description of the product said that it should fit most 42" LCD TVs, it didn't fit mine by a long shot. I wound up having to go out and buy a mount at a retail store for about four times the price on top of the hassle of returning this wall mount. (Amazon was very good about the return, however.) So, please save yourself time, effort, and money and double check to make sure that this mount will actually fit your TV.

Half the Price, worth more than every penny
I bought this for our 32 in Vizio and it worked great and was about half the price of every one we had found. We love it.

Peerless Universal Wall Mount for 23"-46" Flat Panels
Hung a 32" flat panel tv with this mount. Works great and was easy to install.

A few tools and common sense
I purchased a Samsung LN46A650 with this wall mount. I mounted the wall mount and the tv by myself. The mount went up simply and effortlessly. Outside of a qick read through, there isnt much need for the instructions. A few tools and common sense had the mount up in about 30 minutes (not counting using touch up paint to hide a couple scatches on the wall from my wife).

It is great to have, however the distance between our door and window and the location of the studs would not allow us to use it. A little difficult to install. Check your measurements.

Perfect Solution
I researched the different brands then searched by price. This was the perfect solution at the right price. Installation was pretty simple given my location.

Not Wide Enough
I used the Peerless ST650P to mount a Panasonic 42" Viera Plasma TV. The mount attached to the TV perfectly, and included all necessary hardware. However, the part of the mount that attached to the wall is several inches too short to be able to span across three 16-on-center studs. As a result, I had to attach the mount to only 2 studs. I used the extreme left hand mounting holes so that the mount extended as far to one side as possible. This means the edge of the mount is on one stud, and the second stud is thus located only slightly off set from the center of the mount resulting in no support for the mount at the other edge which then falls between studs. I then also hung the TV to that far side taking advantage of another 3-4 inches of adjustability which loads the mount precisely where it has the least support.

The result is that the TV is roughly located where it would have been had the peerless mount been able to be centered on one stud and attached to the neighboring 2 (spanning 3 studs).

However, because the extreme outboard arm of the mount is several inches away from the lag bolts on one side, the mount twisted and bent slightly under the weight of the TV and pulled away from the wall at the top about 1/16 of an inch. I believe it can support the weight and will not deform any further as long as the TV isn't jostled or disturbed, but the mount is really not designed to handle the torquing forces that result when mounted off center. I regret the purchase and might be forced to buy a different mount for fear that it might bend and deform even more, or even fail.

If the wall where you want your TV has a stud directly behind, or very close to the point where you want to center the TV, then this mount will not work very well for you.

If you don't care where the TV is centered on your wall, and can center the TV between two Studs regardsless of whether they are a few feet this way or that way - then this mount is adequate.

The tilt feature works good once your remove the Allen Key lock bolts.

Peerless st650p tilting wall mount
This wall mountis very easy to install. There are lots of holes to hold the tv to the mounts, so it is very universal. Mounting it to the wall is very easy and fast. Comes with all the bolts you could need to mount, for any application, you will have lots of extras, which is a good thing. I used it on my 32" Insignia, the bracket on the wall is the exact width of the tv, roughly 34". This is very strong and secure. Much cheaper than on the peerless website, more than half the price.

Very Pleased
I bought the SA740P to mount our new Samsung 40" LCD over the fireplace in our kitchen. It was very easy to install and instructions were easy to follow. I did have to get different hardware to mount it to the wall because I didn't secure it to a wall stud. Because I wanted it centered directly over the center of the fireplace, I had to support a 2x12 between two studs above the fireplace (inside the wall) and mount it to the 2x12 through the drywall. If I had mounted it to one of the studs over the fireplace, the TV would not have been centered over the fireplace when fully retracted. It turned out great! Initially I had concerns that it may not be strong enough because we were at the 40" limit of it's rating, but it handles it without any problems even when fully extended. It turned out great for us...highly recommend.

This, w/o doubt, is the best wall mount I have ever installed ! It does everything you need it to do. Sturdy as anything. I highly recommend this unit.

I need another adaptor?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I bought a Sharp Aquos 37" LCD. Amazon advertised this on the page with the tv so I figured it "must" fit right along with it since they have them together. I get it only to find that I have to spend ANOTHER 0+ on an adaptor for it to fit the tv!!!!!!! That's some poor sales techniques by Amazon and I am NOT happy. Assuming you have a tv that it fits, it does look like a sturdy mount.

After considerable research, I found this one to exceed requirements and expectations. Built like a tank, its articulation and design allow convenient, safe and clean wiring. At first sight, however, I was a bit concerned about the rather small distance between the foot attachment screws, thinking that 7 inches was too little. A simple calculation will show that the pull on the upper screw will be approximately 171 lbs for a 50 lb TV, and shear stress is not a problem here. But the installation was sturdy and reliable. Whatever method is used to locate the wooden stud (2"x4"), it is important to insert the screws as near as possible to the middle of the studs. Drilling of a pilot hole is not necessary if your drill has enough torque.
