Nice TV for the money. This is a very nice TV. I have had this tv since about 7/30/08.

Pro’s: The TV has a very good tuner, I was able to hook Sharp AQUOS LC46BD80U to my basic cable with Comast and was able to get about 16 HD channels and 10 or more digital channnels. I haven’t tried over the air tuner. HD channels look great, Standard Def channels look good. I have this set up in the bedroom and Sharp AQUOS LC46BD80U works great for this purpose. 720p is all you need in this size of TV. The Favorite channels you can set up are great, on the remote you have favorites a to c and you can set 4 channels under each letter.

Con: Remote has to be pointed directly at the TV but not too bad

Other thoughts: I still haven’t hooded this to my Direct TV receiver yet, so I can’t comment on how the digital picture looks like from it! Nor have I gamed on Sharp AQUOS LC46BD80U yet. TV does have a game setting and game timer!

If you are in the market for a 32′ LCD and want a quality brand name for a good price with plenty of options this is the one for you!

great tv. I did a lot of research to find a tv that would perform good in a very sunl Sharp AQUOS LC46BD80U area. My tv sits next to a huge picture window and the sun shines in all day long and I can see the picture just fine from every angle. I love it!

Great set. I found Sharp AQUOS LC46BD80U hard to find any reviews on this particular model online but I decided to take a chance, since its predecessor, the lc32d43u was pretty well rated. i am glad I did. I find the picture quality very good even in standard definition (with a digital feed) and there are plenty of options for you to get the quality the way you like it. My only small problem is that at some angles the picture can be bit washed out, but this is only at severe side angles. Overall good value for money.

Excellent Value. Excellent picture. Connected HDMI with ATT U-Verse IPTV. Great for bright rooms — unlike my Samsung series 7 the screen does not reflect sunlight. More of a dry look vs glossy screen. Color is great once you tweak Sharp LC32E67U in. Minor item - if you sit off axis the contrast ratio changes a little - picture gets brighter the more left or right you are. My Samsung has 120mhz screen refresh and this unit does not, but I cannot really tell the difference. If you want a 65″ screen there really is no other choice at this price and to spend thousands more for the higher end 65″ Aquos seems pointless. If you are looking for a 65″ HDTV, this is the one. Also my unit had no inital smell.

Great picture but noxious fumes. The picture is beautiful, but the fumes from the set are noxious.

The odor gets overpowering and nauseating after the TV is on for a short while. We turn the set off and air out the living room. I am trying to research whether the fumes are a health hazard or not, but Sharp LC32E67U certainly does impair our enjoyment of this two-month old set.

We can also feel the heat radiating off the 65″screen.

We have a 42″ Sharp LCD Aguos set also with no odor or heat problem. We bought the 65″ model based on our good experience with the smaller set.

I intend to contact Sharp and hear what they have to say about it.

This model’s volume control function doesn’t work until after the set is on for a minute. After that Sharp LC32E67U works fine.

Considering the price of this set, these problems should not exist. Be forewarned.

Excellent Picture at Excellent Price. This TV was just delivered today and I’ve been watching Sharp LC32E67U all afternoon.

It is well worth the money - the picture quality is excellent. Sharp LC32E67U does not have any competition at its price point.

We have had no issues with smells that others have reported.

We have had to make no adjustments to the picture that others have noted - we plugged Sharp LC32E67U in, turned Sharp LC32E67U on and Sharp LC32E67U looks great.

The speakers are just OK…we will probably run out and buy surround sound as the audio definitely needs an upgrade.

Note that there are only one set of component jacks on the back of this set…since our current cable box and DVD player both have component output, we will probably replace our DVD player with a blu-ray that has HDMI output.

As others have stated, you need to be at least 8 feet away from the screen to truly enjoy the picture.

Delivery was done by CEVA and, when I ordered from Amazon I was originally given a delivery date 11 days out. Well, the TV actually arrived 4 days after I ordered! The two delivery men were very professional, pleasant, and ensured that the video and audio worked correctly before leaving…5 STARS FOR CEVA!!

…and 5 stars for Sharp and Amazon…this has been an extremely pleasant purchase process. Now back to enjoying our new toy. :0D

Very Nice LCD TV. This is my first HDTV purchase. From reading all the other reviews on this TV you already know that Sharp AQUOS LC32BD60U has a great picture and no banding troubles. I’ll address the negative reviews that I had read prior to ordering the TV before the big SuperBowl game. By the way the carrier had delivered and setup the TV 4 days earlier than expected (got Sharp AQUOS LC32BD60U the Friday before the big game) which I was grateful for

The first concern I had read was the lack of sound. Sharp AQUOS LC32BD60U is true, while on the first of the 9 INPUTS labeled “TV” the sound is lacking after 1/2 way thru the volume range. This input is the antenna coaxial input. You would connect the antenna or VCR or some other coaxial output to this standard input. I got around this sound issue by connecting the antenna to the VCR, then using a composite cable connected that VCR to INPUT 1 of the TV. Now I have full volume…too much actually….on INPUT 1. I also have INPUT 2 wired directly to my standard DirecTV box thru a S-Video cable and audio cables. This too has plenty of volume. The Input 1 and 2 have better video capability than the TV input anyway. I do not have any HMDI inputs as of yet so I cant vouch for that. I receive HDTV right off the air, and the Directv box puts out a decent digital picture. So I’m not itching to pay more for a HDTV signal from Directv and pay their upgrade fee of a $128 plus $10 a month.

The second issue was the remote. Although the remote is long, Sharp AQUOS LC32BD60U serves us well. Well enough that I bought a spare off of ebay incase this one I have was to go bad someday.

Another feature I like is that when using an off-the-air antenna and receiving a HD signal, this TV has a moving scale to dial-in the best direction for the antenna. (I didnt know that I was actually that far off!). The TV also has a demo program to show you the difference between the 60 and 120hz picture.

I will try and post a picture of the remote control since I could not find a picture online for those who are concern. Look for the customer shared photos on the main page here.

Sound is good, excellent picture. I already have an earlier model of the aquos, and yes sound WAS low, but I use a sound system, but this model the 85U has great sound. We took Sharp AQUOS LC32BD60U out of the box connected the stand and turned Sharp AQUOS LC32BD60U on. Got all ready to tweek the color, but Sharp AQUOS LC32BD60U was perfect. The only thing we had to do was Sharp AQUOS LC32BD60U on the staand and select the input line. Excellent product, I could not see any banding, the colors were fantastic. As usual, sharp is a best buy.

WOW - Really Great TV. This is my first big screen tv. I had allready purchsed an LCD 20 inch Sharp. I was very happy with the 20 so didn’t hesitate to get the 42 inch one. Sharp AQUOS LC32BD60U has an exceptional picture, with many features for viewing. The sound is very good, not having to put the volume pass 25-30. I like the look of the tv, especially the wide stand which is very secure. Also want to say I spoke with the Sharp Service to get the extended free warranty and they are so nice and helpful. Great buy, good price, elsewhere Sharp AQUOS LC32BD60U is at least $1400 and as for delivery, hey, Sharp AQUOS LC32BD60U WAS FREE, other places would cost you at least $75-100, maybe even more.

Blinking Green Lights. The LC-46D65U was great until one day Sharp LC40E67U decided not to be great anymore. In the middle of watching my favorite team play the Sharp’s picture just shut off. The two green lights on the front indicating OPC and Power began blinking non-stop. I was unable to tell if the LCD was on or off. After pressing the power button I received a high pitched noise from the LCD and then back to nothing again. Sharp LC40E67U is two months old so I contacted Sharp and Best Buy to see what the hell happened to my relatively new Sharp Aquos. Both replied by saying the problem could be a number of things and they had to send out a tech to inspect it. I have found online that this problem is prevalent. I am one among countless individuals who feel that spending $1500 on a non-functioning unit is ridiculous. I feel robbed by Sharp. Even if Sharp LC40E67U can be fixed I am certain I will be in constant worry that this problem will happen again. Don’t purchase this product. Buy Samsung or Sony. Sharp has a major quality control issue that has affected too many of its customers and that is unacceptable.

Sharp Acquos LCD 46″ 1080p. I checked out several different tv’s and found that I liked the Sharp the best. The picture is bright and the number of ports available for different devices is more than adequate. I would recommend this to anyone looking to find a 46″ class TV over Vizio or Phillips e.g. Bought this with the enhanced delivery option which was a special at no charge and was satisfied with the service. Took an extra day or so to deliver but everything was fine. So far Sharp LC40E67U provides a very enjoyable experience and a considerable step up from non HDTV!

Not bad for the price …. Relatively attractive TV although the design is kinda plain when compared to the Samsungs and Sonys. Decent picture when seated directly in front of the TV, suffers from the off-angle color issues mentioned by the CNet reviews of the 52 inch in Sharp LC40E67U line. I didn’t have the chance to preview Sharp LC40E67U unit live before buying. Would suggest that others do so before taking the plunge. All in all, it’s ok, and does have some nice features, but not as satisfying as I had expected.

A fine first step into HD. Hey Gang,

The 40″ XBR6 television is fantastic. I can’t recommend Sony BRAVIA KDL-52S5100 highly enough. After two weeks of ownership I can say with confidence that this was a great purchase. As a Sony buff I like the set’s full integration with my laptop and camera. The deal now running on Amazon to throw in a matching Blu-Ray player is a steal.

I did a tremendous amount of research on Sony’s HDTV product line and the price on this near high-end set caused me to bite. Moving up from vhs+dvd on a 20″ WEGA tube set has been a revelation.

There are some hyper-critics out there who can find minor faults with this product but I’m not one of ‘em. Blacks are deep and colors are vibrant. Sports are eye-popping. Even without cable or satellite service my programming is HD and amazing quality. Ditch cable and watch PBS in HD!

If you table mount this television I do recommend purchasing two accessories direct from sony: the support belt kit and the anchor bolt. Proper use of these prevent accidental tipping of the tall, top heavy set. Order these items via telephone in the US 800 488 7669, they cost under 11 bucks delivered, a tiny investment compared to the cost of the set.

By the way, a Blu-Ray player such as the s550 is essential pairing. Not only does Netflix now offer Blu-Ray selections, wow, but the player upscales DVD to the screen’s native resolution to splendid effect.

Best Purchase of 2008. I ordered Sony BRAVIA KDL-52S5100 TV on the X-mas sale for $1319 including S550 Blu-Ray player. I got my TV in good shape and timely-manner. I was little worried about Ceva carrier but they called me to setup the schedule and time. Ceva guy opened the package and made sure that TV Stands and other including accessories are in there. He put the TV on the Stand and turn on the TV. Boom.. HD picture Quality is un-real. My wife was liking Sumit are we watching 3D or what.

Disappointing…. I bought this TV on clearance. Thought I was getting a steal on an XBR. The reviews (including cNet and Amazon) were mostly positive and Sony BRAVIA KDL-52S5100 seemed like a good set. Not so much. From the get go I noticed immediately that the picture seemed dull and dim. The backlight would seem to randomly dim and this problem was especially noticable during live sports. I did as much research as I could on this issue and realized that the panel has an ambient light dimming function. I disabled this feature in the settings, adjusted the picture to recommended settings and still was left with a less than satisfactory result.

Fortunately Best Buy has a 30 day return policy so I packed the set up and gave Sony BRAVIA KDL-52S5100 back. I decided to spend a little more (the XBR went for 1399 when I purchased it) and got the new Samsung B750. Amazing… I have zero regrets! The difference in picture quality is amazing. I would think twice about purchasing the XBR6. There is a reason Sony BRAVIA KDL-52S5100 is on clearance everywhere!

Extraordinary. This product was “back ordered” at EVERY major electronics store, both

national and local but for the same price the model Sony BRAVIA KDL-46S5100 replaced was

still available. Thanks to Amazon were got what we wanted, and fast.

I might note that 2 of this model, “used”, were available at the same

price at the time, I assume both were display models since that seemed

to be all that was at retailers. After our purchase both of these items

were increased $100.

Thanks, Amazon, even if we checked with about 12 outlets before we

thought to go to you. Sony BRAVIA KDL-46S5100 only takes one good one to fill the order.

Excellent 26″ LCD. Did quite a bit of research between Samsung and Sony on their lines of smaller LCDs - had a 22″ Samsung 650 but the viewing angles were not very good (very light from viewed from above, and very dark when viewed from below). Sony BRAVIA KDL-46S5100 Sony has excellent picture from any viewing angle and the price is very comparable with other 26″ on the market.

Beware the ACE feature. I bought this TV on sale recently at a great price and was initially very satisfied. The picture quality is great, even though Sony BRAVIA KDL-46S5100 could use a few more picture settings to tweak the image more to your liking. Unfortunately, Sony BRAVIA KDL-46S5100 has an auto-dim feature that basically changes the contrast and backlight settings automatically depending on how much black there is on the screen. Sony BRAVIA KDL-46S5100 makes dark scenes very dark and bright scenes very bright. Since I couldn’t find a way to disable it, I spoke to a Sony tech online who told me that what was doing that was the ACE contrast enhancement feature and that there was no way to change it.

This was definitely a deal breaker for me. If you only watch movies or play games with no dark scenery at all, you probably won’t be annoyed too much. For anyone else, I’d suggest checking Sony BRAVIA KDL-46S5100 out yourself before you buy. As gamer, Sony BRAVIA KDL-46S5100 was just impossible to deal with. For example, if you play a game like Dead Space on it, the ACE pretty much makes the game unplayable since Sony BRAVIA KDL-46S5100 darkens everything so much that you can barely make out what’s on the screen.

Needless to say I returned Sony BRAVIA KDL-46S5100 after a few days of frustration and ended up buying a 37″ Toshiba Regza for just around a hundred dollars more and am very happy with it. The Regza actually has a similar feature but you can change its setting from low to high or disable Sony BRAVIA KDL-46S5100 completely if you wish. Hopefully Sony will make a firmware update later on so people can do the same with their Bravia ACE, though from the response I got from the Sony tech I spoke to I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Great Product - Poor Delivery. Amazon’s carrier seemed to take extra time getting the TV from Inidana to the east coast - however, there was a snow storm in Indiana and Ohio. The appointment for delivery was set and after exchanging calls with the driver he arrived, opened the truck, and our TV was not on it. He promised to call in an hour - didn’t. Called him again, said he would be there in an hour with the TV. Sony BRAVIA KDL-52V5100 was over two hours. We finally got Sony BRAVIA KDL-52V5100 and have been enjoying it. It’s everything we hoped Sony BRAVIA KDL-52V5100 would be.

We Love It. Totally positive buying experience. After researching lcd tv’s, the Sony Bravia Z-series had everything we wanted, including a classy, sleek and narrow frame. We couldn’t be more pleased, both with the tv and with our experience ordering Sony BRAVIA KDL-52V5100 from Amazon. We feel that we got the best price, delivery was fast, and the “White Glove Service” a real treat: the tv was set up in our livingroom and basically ready to go. I was a little hesitant to make such a large purchase online, but I would definitely do Sony BRAVIA KDL-52V5100 again.

Sony Bravia LCD 40″ TV. I ordered this item as a family Christmas present. The delivery and handling was superb and the item has preformed flawlessly. After ordering on-line with Amazon, the TV was actually delivered in less than one week.

The delivery man unpacked it, tested Sony BRAVIA KDL-52V5100 for function, and removed the packing materials. My sons and I installed the Sony in the cabinet and hooked Sony BRAVIA KDL-52V5100 up so that we enjoyed the crisp, beautiful pictures all during the holiday season.

Great TV for Movie Entertainment just Plain watching TV. I bought this TV and WOW the picture is magnificant. I have HD viewing capability and teamed with this TV the experience was heartwarming. I did not believe the HD TV hype but after viewing HD on this TV Sony BRAVIA KDL-32XBR9 is hard to watch regular TV Sony BRAVIA KDL-32XBR9 is just not clear and vibriant. The sound is great there is no need to get additional speakers with this set. Sony BRAVIA KDL-32XBR9 has enough plugs component, composent, HDMI in the back for all your satellite TV, cable, DVD players, game sets and you an even hook a computer to it. Get yours soon because Sony is coming out with XBR7 models and the XBR6 will be hard to find.

great tv great delivery time. ordered the sony kdl-52w4100 on friday and received Sony Bravia KDL-26L5000 the next wednesday - delivered and brought into the house and set on the stand. (Also ordered some Blue ray movies at the same time - it’s saturday and they’re still not here - went by smail mail.) After ordering, there was a difficulty in getting the Amazon credit card to clear the purchase but was cleared up in a short time. Amazon responded to my communications very quickly.

This tv gives a picture that is probably as perfect as you can find. The picture is great right out of the box. The colors are accurate and not fake looking like some sets. Faces don’t have that clay-like look of some others. The cabinet is nice looking and when the hdmi cables are threaded correctly, no wires are visible even through the clear cavity built into the lower part of the set. That design is actually rather neat looking.

The sound is good for tv only sound. I have a sound system hooked up and Sony Bravia KDL-26L5000 is very good.

I chose the sony not only because of their reputation but also I think they stand behind their product better than Samsung and some other brands. So far I am very pleased.

BEST PURCHASE . After MANY hours of research I can’t tell you how awesome this TV is. Sony Bravia KDL-26L5000 is sleek and light weight. If there was ever doubt that definition does not really make a difference in the sharpness of the picture, take Sony Bravia KDL-26L5000 from me. You can see lint on people’s collars on this TV. The vendor was cheaper than most and I received Sony Bravia KDL-26L5000 3 days ahead of targeted delivery date.

52″ Sony Bravia KDL-52W4100. I am very pleased with my television purchase. Amazon customer service was great. The product was received in excellent condition and the product arrived much faster than expected. I like Sony Bravia KDL-26L5000 .

Very nice HDTV for its price. There are many LCD HDTVs in market today and picture quality is quite comparable. When you take a TV home, Sony Bravia KDL-32L5000 always “look” great but what you should also consider is its feature-set, user friendliness. This Sony tv is very nice in all aspects for the price tag Sony Bravia KDL-32L5000 has. The discounted one, I mean and not the MSRP. The remote is much more responsive, lots of control options, very nice cinemotion even without the 120Hz. Dont judge TVs too much by response time and contrast ratios. These numbers are product specific and can not be compared across. I also like this tv can lock channel irrespective of the ratings info. The on-screen guide is very nice.

Has very rich and true colors, deep black levels, good surround sound. When you switch channels, they change very quickly as compared to some other TVs. The information displayed is also very good.

Overall, a very good buy.

Cons: No backlit remote, no swivel stand, USB port is not generic.

Love it, and loved having Sony Bravia KDL-32L5000 delivered to my living room. We love this TV. It’s pretty easy to use, and the picture and sound are great. I can’t say how this would stack up side-by-side with another brand, but we have absolutely no complaints, and compared to the CRT Sony Bravia KDL-32L5000 replaced, well, lets just say it’s in another league! The delivery service was good - they came when they said they would and set Sony Bravia KDL-32L5000 up in my living room. What more could I ask for.

Sony Sweet. Bought the sony about 3 weeks ago…..Got Sony Bravia KDL-32L5000 almost perfect where I can watch all channels on full screen….You really must play with it……I plan on buying the upconverting DvD player to match TV….I watch alot of reg TV…So the speakers are very important to me….This unit is 1st class……….Trying to adjust the reg stations with a cable box can be a pain…..But!!!! Sony Bravia KDL-32L5000 can be done……To watch full screen……I also found that watching DVDs (Widescreen) can be a pain…..I found out that Sony upconverting Player can solve this…79.99…..
