acer flat panel monitor
We did some product reviews prior to our purchase so we knew what we wanted. Amazon's price was the best. Delivery was really great. The product is really a plug and play which makes for a happy consumer. We love it.
Thank you Amazon.

Just what I hoped for...
Great picture, very easy to set up, packaged well to protect product. I am very glad to have bought this.

Great Monitor
Just received the Acer AL1916WAB 19" widescreen LCD monitor and I love it. Pictures, text and graphics appear very sharp. The colors are bright and true. Not a hint of blurriness when using a word processing or spreadsheet program. I am very happy with my purchase of this monitor.

WIDESCREEN MONITOR
I gave this to my girlfriend and she loves it....it was easy to hook up, the clarity is awsome.

Acer 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor
very good monitor, bought it on the 14 of last month and i am not complaining at all. i know its not high def but when i watch movies its so much better than my pervious monitor (old CRT 20" monitor.) that made "noise" and i had a constant headache from it. so i got this one instead and couldnt have been more happier with a purchase.

Nice Monitor but with a couple of items to be aware of.
For the money the HP w2207h is a pretty good monitor. I was leary of the glossy surface but as long as light sources are not directly behind you, there is not much glare. Pictures look quite good but those, who like me, who do photo and art work, be aware that there is some light fall off at the sides and at top or bottom. When looking at a white screen the sides look like a light tan because of this fall off. This is dependant on how close to the monitor you sit. I like to be 20" to 24" back but if you sit 26" to 36" from the monitor you should not have this problem.
I did not install any software that came with the monitor and I don't see any need for it. I use an ATI card that comes with ATI Catalyst software. I just plugged the monitor in and it worked. I set the video to the native 1680 x 1050 resolution. I use a Spyder 3 monitor calibrator. The default brightness of the monitor was 90%. I did a calibration but this monitor is quite bright in dim light such as night. I finally set the monitor to 60% brightness (using the front panel menu) and recalibrated. This is a good set point and not too bright at night.
If your video card output is a DVI connection, you will need an adapter or new cable. The monitor comes with VGA to VGA and HDMI to HDMI cables. I had a VGA to DVI adapter which I used to connect to my Saphire X1600 video card which has two DVI outputs. You will need an adapter or cable if you have DVI outputs on your video card.
Overall I would recommend this monitor if you can sit back 26" or more and if the 1680 x 1050 resolution is good enough. It is for me but might not be for others. Colors are rich in tone and saturation and there was no problem calibrating it. Front panel controls are good. I don't use the speakers since you really need good speakers with a sub woofer for music (possibly a few exceptions) so monitor speakers are only useful for voice.

Great Picture but not perfect in other area
Image is sharp and bright. Better made monitor stand, nice lacquer black trim. HDMI port and HDMI cable is included. Small imperfections are: backlight bleeding on the top and bottom when black color is displaying on the screen, no DVI port (WHAT?) Like the other reviewer, no audio out, meaning with the HDMI connection, you are forced to use the monitor's weak built-in monitor. When adjusting color setting, the menu is smack in the middle of the screen, which doesn't allow me to see the results of my adjustments unless I exit the menu. If you want quality in the external look ,monitor stand and image quality, I highly recommend this monitor. If any of the minor issues bother you, you may want to look for other items.

Better and best
I bought this monitor to replace an aging 19" Dell CRT connected to an aging G5 PowerMac. I had several goals; open up some desk space, have a 2nd monitor for my 43P ThinkPad, and gain some flexibility with the swivel feature.
Initially I connected to my Mac using the VGA connection. Decent picture, but not amazingly clear. I've found this to be the case with most LCD panels. When I use the digital connection (HDMI/DVI), the quality is really, really good.
As mentioned many time before, the HDMI cable and VGA cables are included. If you need DVI, get one of the converters for about [...] incl. shippping, or buy a quality cable from [...] of Blue Jeans Cable. The prices are far better than any store and the quality is great. For those putting a PC under a desk, you can get a longer cable without paying the price of the monitor for the cable.
I wish HP would put in the HDMI-DVI converter and drop the skinny VGA cord. I think that would work out better.
The speakers are tiny and tinny. I didn't buy it for the speakers, so it doesn't factor into my rating.
As for the software, I don't care. I have a Mac, I wrote an Automator script to handle toggling the position of the monitor. Works great for me.

At this price, you can't find a better monitor
This monitor is an excellent choice at this price point (@ 5 special). Visually, it compares to the best of the best (even Apple monitors, which are better, but this compares admirably). The speakers are worthless, but you shouldn't be buying this for sound. This monitor is all about good looks and stunning rendering. It has vivid colors and brightness (I don't think I have ever seen a monitor that can get this bright). It has fantastic response times for gaming and video. It is adjustable (tilt/rise/lower - you can even make this thing rotate for viewing) and is aesthetically pleasing with a black and silver base/monitor that is very easy to fit on most desks and/or spaces. I've been looking a long time for a good wide screen LCD monitor and researched the competition pretty well. When considering specs and beauty, this is the most bang for your buck that you will ever get (@ 5 special). Merry Christmas to myself! ;)

A+ If your looking for a monitor... you have found it...
Best Monitor on the market that I have seen. I would only replace this when a glass front model (when available) for the scratch resistance.
This one is kinda easy to clean(unlike other LCDs), with 1 to 1 mix of bottled water and pure rubbing alcohol(don't get too wet), clean with a soft towel. Don't touch in the first place!

Mine died one year and 18 days after I bought it and HP service is horrible
Mine died one year and 18 days after I bought it. Since HP only warranties their monitors for one year I'm out of luck unless I want to pay HP 4.99 to fix it. No thank you!
I bought the 25 inch Samsung to replace it and so far so good. I've had a 19 inch Samsung lcd for about 4 years with no problems so I'm going to stick with Samsung monitors from now on. Samsung's warranty is three years by the way.
The articulating arm on the HP is a nice feature but useless when the monitor won't power on.

Awesome Resolution!
I have minor vision problems, so I usually have to reduce the resolution on the displays I use so that objects and text appear larger. When I installed this monitor, it defaulted to its highest possible resolution (meaning objects and text appeared small). Initially I assumed that I would have to adjust down the resolution, but quickly found that images and text were so incredibly clear that I could actually see them just fine at the highest resolution setting!
I had no idea how poor the quality was on my old Gateway 24" flat panel until it died without warning (just after the warranty expired, of course) and I replaced it with this awesome unit.

great monitor
I don't normally like to leave reviews but I think it's worth leave a good review for a well built monitor. The picture is crispy clear and the contrast is prefect for picture editing. The only reason I give it a 4 star is because it doesn't have DVI input I have to buy a cable that convert from HDMI to DVI. Other than that it will be a good monitor

Everything I need, and more
Setting up and using this monitor was very simple. I am simply using this to extend my laptop screen when I work from home so I could stop cycling through windows to get my work done. The only thing that I haven't liked about this monitor is that it's made my laptop screen hard to work with since it's so small and dull in comparison.

Pretty Good I Guess!
I like the size of the monitor. The high definition is adequate but can use some fine tunning. I do wish the monitor could be adjusted more vertically but fore the most part the price was very reasonable compared to others.

Awesome monitor
The Samsung 920 NW is an amazing monitor. It looks great- black casing, sleek style- and the picture is very sharp. The colors are bright and vibrant, and it is very easy to use (pretty much plug and play- you can install the software if you want, but it was not necessary on my Vista computer). For the price (I paid around 0) you won't find anything better ANYWHERE.

nice widescreen display
Great product. I love the fact that it's widescreen so that I can watch a DVD through Windows Media Player on it and do my work on my laptop.
Only thing I dislike about it (and this may be a DVI-to-VGA thing anyway) is that on my Mac, the pixel resolution quality is not as great as on the PC.

i love it
the only problem is the dust on the screen. However, everything is fine. i love it.

Waw
The quality exceeded our expectation. But the price was even better. *****

Monitor performs as advertised. $[...].mail in rebate is a pain in the rear, and though not an Amazon refund, it does reflect on Amazon.

Kush
This monitor was purchased as an upgrade for my 17" CRT and I'm totally happy with my decision. For the price it has good features and I was able to fix it to my fairly old system with minimum hassle.
However I was not able to get the optimum resolution of 1680x1050 on DVI with my Matrox G550 VGA with 32 MB but it works fine on VGA at the same resolution.
It came without any dead pixels has excellent colour balance, I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in a 22" at a budget price.

Great value for money
No dead pixels so far. But one kind of notices that is not a high-quality monitor. when I extended my Sony Vaio into this Monitor, you could clearly see the difference in resolution, brightness, etc. But still, it's very nice, very cheap and very useful. Last problem: you can't turn it, the base is fixed.

Big, bright, clear, cheap
This is a nice, cheap monitor that competes in picture quality with much more expensive ones. It was a nice touch to include both DVI and VGA cables so that it's easy to use the monitor with any computer. I haven't used the monitor with any first-person shooter games, but it's plenty fast enough for watching video, even sports, so I imagine it would do fine. Only downside is the fixed base, so you'd better put it high enough to comfortably look at.

Warranty Program is Flawed
I initially liked this monitor very much. Easy set up and an exceptional value. The problem is that the monitor failed and to have it repaired under warranty you need to ship it back to them at your request. In my case, including packing meant those charges would be over . So what was a great bargain suddenly had 25% added to it sales price and was no longer such a bargain. Caveat Emptor

Nice and Simple, Good Price
Works just great! Price very reasonable. Great free shipping- three days earlier than estimate arrival. I now have two 22" monitors. The only negative about this beautiful product is lack of swiveling up and down.

LCD TV Bracket
Excellent bracket. Built well. Easy to install, but need another person to hang tv on base bracket. Articulated arm makes it easy to hook up cables.

Excellent Mount, Very Sturdy
I purchased this wall mount for my 46" Samsung LCD. The mount is of very good construction and is definitely worth it for not having to worry about cantilevering my HDTV off the wall.
The main reason I got this mount is that I have the TV mounted on the side wall adjacent to our bed, and this is the best articulating wall mount I could find with enough extension to hold my 46" TV out nearly perpendicular to the wall.
I installed it myself, following the directions was pretty simple and clear. Like others mentioned, my only real problem was that the provided screws to mount the vertical supports to the back of my LCD were either too short or too long, so I cut the long ones down. As long as you take your time and get the backplane mounted nice and level everything will go smoothly. I have no issues with my set wanting to sway one way or the other on it own. And as others have mentioned, it definitely takes two people to lift a big screen TV onto it, which my wife and I did with little struggle. Start-to-finish, it probably took me 1 hour to set up...not bad at all.
The only other "con" I can think of is that the bottom rod blocks one of my HDMI ports on my Samsung LN46A650. No matter how I adjust it, one or more ports would be blocked, but this will obviously depend on your particular HDTV set and is not a particually big deal since my set has 3 other HDMI ports.

sturdy
very good product I hung a 46" TV rock solid but deffinately a two man job

Nice looking and very functional
I was leaning towards a simple tilt mount that would have been significantly less expensive. Ultimately figured for the extra money it would be nice to have the flexibility. I have a multi-function room and in less than 1 month I have already taken advantage of the swivel and extension a number of times. The mount seems to be very well designed....
-Simple but nice asthetics
-Limited number of pieces- easy to figure out
-Excellent range of motion
-Very sturdy
Makes a world of difference with a flat panel television. Previously had my 46" LCD on a piece of furniture - looks 100% better mounted.

Great product; fabulous service
This is a well made product that delivers on all it promises. It holds my 42" plasma TV securely and allows it to swivel so that it can be seen from a number of different angles in my hard to set up room. But as importantly, this company has outstanding customer service. During our first attempt at installation we broke one of the pieces. Not only was the Sanus support person knowledgeable about exactly what piece needed to be replaced, she called later to say that the company was concerned that the replacing just the broken piece wasn't sufficient and that they were sending me the assembly it was attached to. It arrived quickly and it is now installed and working well. In this age of poor service, Sanus is a breath of fresh air.
